On 15 July 2025, Greece launched its new Electronic Pledge Registry, operated by the Hellenic Cadastre. Built under Law 5123/2024, the platform allows certified legal professionals to register, modify, or cancel non-possessory pledges entirely online, streamlining secured transactions across movables, claims, and registered shares. With 24/7 accessibility, real-time legal certainty, and full digital functionality, the Registry marks a significant step toward transparency, efficiency, and EU alignment in secured lending practices.
